This Cape Cod style home was completely reimagined to create a timeless space that builds appeal and interest through layered décor elements. The final result exceeded the clients’ expectations and has become a design focal point.  The owners of this space sought to retain the architecture but soften its formality. This was done through the clever use of stylish furnishings that create the coastal light and airy vibe. We used the existing oak wood paneling throughout the entire room and painted it white which transformed the room into an entire new feel. That along with the details of the furnishings create a place of balance and beauty.

A few years ago I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful family when they moved into their house over looking the beautiful Ventura Coast. Unfortunately when the Ventura fires happened a few years ago, they lost their gorgeous home. They called me as soon as they had some plans from the architect and we started this unbelievable Spanish Villa . I worked hand in hand with the client and contractors for almost two years. The detail that went into this house made it a beautiful work of art. Everything from the outside to everything on the inside was masterfully planned and thought out. It was an honor to work with them and help rebuild and design this dream home.

THACHER SCHOOL - HEADMASTER'S KITCHEN
Ojai, CA
This home had a tree house feel with multi levels, lots of wood on walls and ceilings and the kitchen was extremely dark and dysfunctional. The children would gather multiple times per week in the head master’s kitchen and so they wanted to create a fun and colorful environment, that still felt warm and inviting, but extremely functional for lots of people using the kitchen. We used a custom tile backsplash with about 14 colors to brighten the space and give it some life. We created a pantry that looks like furniture with custom barn looking doors and painted it a pumpkin color. We used warm cherry cabinets with a quartz on the main counters to lighten the space and black honed granite on a sage green island. The space came out beautiful and it felt like it had always been there.
